Who you are
You have a strong background in technical solutions engineering with a focus on customer support — your experience includes troubleshooting complex issues and providing guidance on analytics platforms. You possess thorough knowledge of PostgreSQL and have hands-on experience with other SQL-based databases, which allows you to tackle a variety of technical challenges effectively.
Your familiarity with Data Warehousing and ETL technologies like Informatica and DataStage enables you to assist customers in optimizing their data solutions — you understand the intricacies of data integration and management, making you a valuable resource for clients. You are passionate about customer advocacy and strive to ensure that clients achieve their strategic goals using Databricks products.
You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, coordinating with engineering and escalation teams to resolve customer issues — your communication skills allow you to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are proactive in participating in training programs to enhance your expertise in AWS, Azure, and the Databricks platform.
Desirable
Experience with third-party integrations in a Databricks environment is a plus, as it allows you to provide comprehensive support to customers facing integration challenges. You are also familiar with best practices for custom-built solutions, which helps you deliver tailored recommendations to enhance performance in customer-specific environments.
What you'll do
As a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer at Databricks, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the Databricks platform and related products — you will troubleshoot and resolve complex customer issues, ensuring that clients can effectively utilize the platform for their analytics needs. Your role will involve assisting customers throughout their Databricks journey, offering guidance and knowledge to help them achieve their strategic goals.
You will deliver best practices support for custom-built solutions developed by customers, providing insights and suggestions for improving performance in their specific environments. Your expertise in PostgreSQL and other SQL-based databases will be crucial as you assist clients in navigating challenges related to data management and analytics.
In addition to direct customer support, you will participate in the creation and maintenance of company documentation and knowledge articles — your contributions will help enhance the overall customer experience and ensure that best practices are shared across the organization. You will also be involved in coordinating with engineering and escalation teams to achieve timely resolutions for customer issues and requests.
