Job Description

Who you are

You have over 5 years of closing experience, with a strong background in field selling within both mid-market and enterprise segments. You are driven and have consistently met or exceeded direct sales goals of over $1M, managing an average deal size of $100k or more. Your ability to prospect effectively and maintain relationships is key to your success in this role. You possess a deep understanding of customer business needs and can navigate complex sales processes with ease. You are resourceful and have an intuitive sense of the necessary steps to close business and gain customer validation. Your experience includes negotiating favorable pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises, emphasizing the value and ROI of the solutions you offer.

What you'll do

In this role, you will prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process. You will maintain, build, and own specific relationship maps for your territory, which includes existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Developing a deep comprehension of your customer's business will be essential as you identify robust business drivers behind all opportunities. You will ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency, handling existing customer expectations while expanding your reach and depth into the assigned territory. Your ability to uncover the pain points organizations face as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale will be crucial in delivering the appropriate Datadog solutions. You will demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solutions, ensuring that you can effectively close business and validate customer needs.
