Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in closing sales, particularly within mid-market and enterprise sectors. Your track record includes consistently meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of over $1 million, with an average deal size exceeding $100,000. You possess a strong ability to prospect and develop relationships with large Fortune 1000 companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs and challenges. Your negotiation skills are top-notch, allowing you to secure favorable pricing and business terms by effectively communicating value and ROI to clients. You are resourceful and can navigate complex challenges, ensuring high forecasting accuracy and consistency in your sales process.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting into large Fortune 1000 companies while managing an efficient sales process. You will maintain and build relationship maps for your territory, which includes both existing relationships and aspirational contacts. Your goal is to develop a comprehensive understanding of your customers' businesses, enabling you to identify their pain points as they operate in or migrate to a cloud environment at scale. You will negotiate favorable pricing and business terms, ensuring that you sell the value of Datadog's solutions effectively.
