Who you are
You have extensive experience in engineering operations, ideally in a fast-paced technology environment — you've successfully built and led operational frameworks that support large engineering teams. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and drives productivity, ensuring that teams can focus on delivering high-quality software without unnecessary administrative burdens.
You possess a strategic mindset, capable of defining and evolving operational models that meet the needs of a growing organization — your ability to analyze and improve processes has led to significant enhancements in team effectiveness and communication. You are comfortable working with senior leaders across various functions, including Product, Finance, and Legal, to align operational strategies with business goals.
What you'll do
In this role, you will set the vision for Engineering Operations at Datadog, defining how the engineering organization operates at scale. You will establish a cohesive operating rhythm that enhances planning, communication, and measurement of effectiveness across teams. Your focus will be on reducing operational friction and enabling better decision-making, allowing engineering leaders to dedicate more time to building and shipping software.
You will partner closely with senior leaders to implement programs and systems that support the engineering function as it grows. This includes evolving the approach to operational processes and ensuring they are aligned with the fast-paced nature of the business. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives that improve team dynamics and collaboration, ultimately leading to a more efficient and effective engineering organization.
