Job Description
Who you are
You have 2–5+ years of experience in people analytics, business analytics, or a related quantitative role — your strong analytical skills enable you to derive insights from complex datasets and inform strategic decisions. Proficiency in SQL and Google Sheets is essential, and you have experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, Metabase, or Looker, which allows you to create impactful visualizations and dashboards. You understand the importance of data quality, privacy, and governance when handling sensitive employee information, ensuring that your analyses are both accurate and compliant.
You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with People Business Partners, Recruiting, and senior leadership to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses. Your ability to proactively identify and predict trends, patterns, and drivers of people outcomes such as attrition and performance is a key asset. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards in your work, which contributes to the overall success of the People Analytics Team at Datadog.
Desirable
Experience with advanced analytics techniques or statistical methods would be a plus, as would familiarity with HR systems and processes. You are comfortable conducting research studies and analyses to support programmatic decision-making and key initiatives across the employee lifecycle. Your curiosity drives you to explore new methodologies and tools that can enhance the effectiveness of people analytics at Datadog.
What you'll do
As a People Analyst II at Datadog, you will play a crucial role in shaping how the organization hires, develops, retains, and supports its employees. You will proactively identify and predict trends that impact people outcomes, such as attrition and career growth, providing valuable insights to leadership. Your work will involve conducting custom analyses that address priority workforce questions, translating complex business needs into actionable insights.
You will build and maintain dashboards, reports, and recurring metrics readouts that track key performance indicators related to hiring, performance, retention, and employee sentiment. Your ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively will help drive data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various teams, ensuring that your analyses align with the strategic goals of the business.
In addition to your analytical responsibilities, you will contribute to the development of a strong office culture at Datadog. You will help foster relationships and collaboration among team members, ensuring that the insights you provide are not only data-driven but also aligned with the values and culture of the organization. Your role will be instrumental in supporting the growth and success of Datadog's workforce.
