Who you are

You have a proven track record of leading pricing strategies in a technology-driven environment — your experience spans over 5 years in pricing, monetization, or related fields, where you've successfully developed and implemented pricing models that align with business objectives. You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to conduct data-driven pricing research and evaluate market trends effectively. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Finance, and GTM, has been key to your success in driving pricing initiatives that enhance customer value and support revenue growth.

You are customer-focused and understand the importance of transparency and trust in pricing strategies — you have a knack for simplifying complex pricing structures to make it easier for customers to adopt and expand their use of products. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and creativity, ensuring that your team is engaged and aligned with the company's vision.

Desirable

Experience in a SaaS environment or with subscription-based pricing models is a plus — you are familiar with the nuances of pricing in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. A background in finance or economics can enhance your ability to develop pricing strategies that maximize profitability while delivering value to customers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive Datadog's pricing and monetization vision, ensuring that pricing models reflect the value delivered to customers while supporting sustainable revenue growth. You will lead the development and execution of pricing strategies that make Datadog's platform easier to buy, adopt, and expand across various customer segments. Your responsibilities will include conducting data-driven pricing research and analytics to evaluate elasticity, usage behavior, and margin impact, guiding decisions that simplify offerings and improve predictability for customers.

You will build and scale pricing governance to ensure consistency, transparency, and discipline across product lines and deal models. Collaborating closely with Product, Finance, and GTM teams, you will ensure that pricing models are aligned with customer needs and market dynamics. Your role will also involve championing a customer-first approach to pricing, reinforcing trust and transparency in all pricing communications.
