You have over 6 years of experience in hi-tech, cycle direct sales — you've successfully navigated the complexities of the sales cycle and understand the nuances of customer engagement. Your passion for coaching and mentorship shines through as you guide your team to success, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles. You have a proven track record of overseeing first-line managers, demonstrating your ability to lead and inspire others in a fast-paced environment. Your customer-centric approach has resulted in a strong history of developing satisfied customers, and you thrive on building relationships that foster collaboration and trust. You possess strong organizational and time management skills, allowing you to effectively manage multiple priorities while driving results. What you'll do
As the Director of Commercial Sales at Datadog, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and mentorship to the Commercial Sales Managers and their teams. You will forecast performance based on team productivity, ensuring that your team meets and exceeds their sales targets. Hiring, overseeing, and training a team of Commercial Sales Managers will be a key part of your role, as you facilitate the ramp-up for all new team members and coach them to success. You will develop and monitor effective outbound prospecting strategies to increase customer acquisition, leveraging your expertise to identify trends and areas for improvement. Regular and accurate revenue forecasting will be essential, as you provide insights to your leadership team. You will also cross-collaborate with stakeholder departments to actualize go-to-market strategies, develop training curriculum, and meet hiring goals, ensuring that your team is well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the market.
