You have a strong technical background with experience in building and configuring AI agents — your hands-on execution skills ensure that agents perform reliably at scale. You possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Math, or have equivalent technical experience that demonstrates your capabilities. Your familiarity with enterprise SaaS integrations, including ticketing systems and CRM, allows you to navigate complex security and compliance considerations effectively.

You have a product instinct that enables you to write crisp PRDs and define success metrics — your ability to contribute customer insights back into the product roadmap is invaluable. What you'll do

As a Field Engineer at Decagon, you will be part of the Agent Builder Org, a specialized technical delivery team responsible for the end-to-end execution of AI agent builds. You will own the hands-on work required to deliver best-in-class agents, which includes writing and configuring key components, validating integrations, and ensuring agents perform reliably at scale. Your role will involve rigorous iteration and deep technical delivery to achieve enterprise-grade performance.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the AI agents meet customer expectations and deliver exceptional user experiences. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise during the agent build process, as well as providing feedback to improve the overall product. You will also be involved in designing workflows and tooling that enhance the efficiency of the agent building process.
