You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building real-time systems that handle voice interactions. Your expertise in Java and voice recognition technologies has enabled you to create seamless conversational experiences across various channels. You understand the intricacies of low latency applications and have a strong grasp of real-time audio processing techniques. Your experience with LLM-driven applications showcases your ability to work with advanced AI technologies, and you thrive in collaborative environments where innovation is encouraged.
Desirable
Experience with voice activity detection (VAD) and streaming protocols is a plus, as is familiarity with optimizing performance for low latency use cases. You are passionate about conversational AI and are eager to contribute to a team that is redefining customer experiences through technology.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Voice Agent team, you will design and implement systems that allow Decagon agents to engage in natural conversations across multiple platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our voice systems remain accurate, responsive, and stable at scale. Your role will involve optimizing existing systems for performance and reliability, as well as developing new features that enhance user interactions. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
