Who you are

You have a strong background in managing kitchen design and development projects, with experience in commercial kitchens and food & beverage operations. Your ability to build effective working relationships with site operations, maintenance, and commercial teams is key to your success in this role. You are detail-oriented and skilled in asset management processes, ensuring maximum value from estate assets. Your experience includes managing multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating your capability to handle complex tasks efficiently.

You possess excellent project management skills, allowing you to oversee the design and build processes for kitchens in the UK market. You are adept at managing budgets and ensuring that all financial aspects of projects are documented and tracked. Your strong communication skills enable you to liaise effectively with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Desirable

Experience with kitchen design software or tools would be a plus, as would familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) work. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you can contribute to the success of various projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the kitchen design and development process for Deliveroo's UK market, overseeing partner onboarding, design, project management, and the handover process. You will be responsible for executing kitchen and site development requests, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. Your role will involve raising multiple purchase orders per project and conducting weekly budget catch-ups to track spending and ensure financial accountability.

You will collaborate closely with the New Verticals Launch Team, which manages over 100 projects per year across various editions and rapid grocery delivery sites. Your ability to manage assets within the market, including equipment selection and audits, will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency. You will also work with external suppliers to ensure that all kitchen designs meet the necessary standards and requirements.
