Overview

Doctolib is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance their observability strategy and ensure the reliability of their production systems. You'll work with cloud platforms and containerization technologies to support the growth of Doctolib services. This role requires 3+ years of experience in a large-scale production environment.

Job Description

Who you are

You have over 3 years of hands-on experience working on large-scale production platforms, ensuring systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your proven expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud allows you to navigate complex infrastructure challenges with ease. You possess a solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes, which are essential for maintaining scalable systems.

Your experience in observability practices means you are well-versed in logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting. You understand the importance of actionable telemetry and have a knack for refining alerting systems to reduce noise and improve incident response. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance developer experience and product engineering.

You are proactive in identifying and leading large-scale reliability initiatives, ensuring that incident detection and postmortem analysis capabilities are robust and effective. Your ability to contribute to on-call rotations demonstrates your commitment to maintaining high service availability and reliability.

Desirable

Experience with incident management tools and practices is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. You may also have a background in software development, which complements your SRE skills and enhances your ability to collaborate with engineering teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the observability strategy across Doctolib's platform, focusing on building scalable and developer-friendly logging and tracing capabilities. You will work closely with the Core Reliability & Observability team to ensure that the platform remains reliable, debuggable, and scalable as the company grows.

You will identify opportunities for improvement in incident detection and response processes, actively contributing to refining the on-call experience for your team. Your responsibilities will include implementing best practices for monitoring and alerting, ensuring that the systems you manage provide actionable insights to developers and operations teams.

You will collaborate with product engineering teams to integrate observability into the development lifecycle, ensuring that new features are built with reliability in mind. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers and sharing your knowledge of SRE practices across the organization.

What we offer

At Doctolib, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to improving healthcare for doctors and patients alike. We offer a supportive work environment where your contributions directly impact the success of our services. You will have access to professional development opportunities and the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies in a rapidly growing company.

Join us in building the healthcare we all dream of, and help shape the future of our platform as we continue to expand our services across Europe.
