Who you are
You have a proven track record in business development, particularly in managing complex negotiations and partnerships. Your experience includes working with SMB-managed merchants, where you've successfully navigated contract renewals and exclusivity discussions. You possess strong commercial judgment and executive presence, allowing you to influence senior stakeholders effectively. Your understanding of restaurant economics is deep, enabling you to balance merchant needs with strategic priorities. You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Strategic Finance, and Legal to drive retention and revenue growth. You are adaptable and can handle the most complex merchant situations with ease, contributing to strategy and process improvement.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead high-impact negotiations with SMB-managed merchants, focusing on pivotal partnership moments such as renewals and churn threats. You will own complex deal conversations from start to finish, ensuring outcomes that support long-term retention and revenue growth. Your responsibilities will include shaping how the SMB Business Development team approaches retention across the broader portfolio. You will report to the Manager of SMB Business Development and will be expected to work in a hybrid model, splitting your time between the office, traveling to meet merchants, and working from home. You will also contribute to strategy and process improvements that enhance deal efficiency and drive successful outcomes.
