You are a strategic thinker with a passion for community engagement — you understand the importance of building relationships and fostering a sense of belonging among users. With experience in community management, you have a proven track record of creating and implementing successful community strategies that resonate with diverse audiences.
You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams — your ability to communicate effectively with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Support ensures that the community's voice is heard and valued. You are hands-on and ready to lead day-to-day engagement across community channels, bringing joy and trust to every interaction.
You are innovative and creative, always looking for new ways to enhance user experience and engagement — your ideas will help define the structure and best practices for the community function at Duolingo. You are comfortable experimenting with big ideas and making data-driven decisions to improve community engagement.
What you'll do
As a Senior Community Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the community function from the ground up — you will work closely with the Head of Community to co-create a vision for a high-impact global community. Your role will involve defining community strategies, best practices, and engagement tactics that align with Duolingo's mission.
You will lead the day-to-day operations of community engagement, ensuring that learners, moderators, superfans, and ambassadors feel valued and connected — your efforts will cultivate a safe and welcoming environment for all users. You will actively participate in community discussions, respond to inquiries, and facilitate interactions that foster a sense of belonging.
You will collaborate with various teams to integrate community feedback into product development and marketing strategies — your insights will help shape the future of Duolingo's offerings. You will also analyze community engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of your strategies and make data-driven improvements.
