Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and you bring 4-6 years of experience in USA payroll processing. Your strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to handle payroll inquiries effectively and resolve issues related to pay, deductions, and tax withholdings. You possess a basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, which supports your ability to maintain accurate payroll records and documentation. Your attention to detail and accuracy are paramount, ensuring that payroll is processed accurately and on time.
You are familiar with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, and you stay updated on changes to these laws to implement necessary adjustments. Your proficiency with ADP Workforce Now (WFN) software is essential for this role, allowing you to perform payroll reconciliations, audits, and adjustments as needed. You can handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, and you thrive in both independent and team settings.
Desirable
While not mandatory, having an FPC certification is a plus, as is experience with multi-state payroll processing. Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll software integrations will further enhance your ability to contribute to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will process payroll for all USA employees accurately and on time, including regular, bonus, and special payrolls. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, performing payroll reconciliations, audits, and adjustments as needed. Handling payroll inquiries and resolving issues related to pay, deductions, and tax withholdings will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with the HR team to ensure seamless payroll operations and prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
You will maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations. Staying informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations will be crucial, as you will implement necessary adjustments to payroll processes. Your role will require you to communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll matters, providing clarity and support as needed.
