Job Description
Who you are
You are a detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to safety and quality assurance. You understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and you are comfortable operating mobile equipment such as Bobcat and Lull. You have the ability to work multiple shift schedules and are ready to contribute to a team focused on renewable energy solutions.
You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to interact professionally with suppliers and team members. Your ability to record data accurately ensures that billing processes run smoothly. You are proactive in identifying and escalating issues to maintain operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Receiving Operator at Enviva, you will be responsible for receiving wood pellets into the port facility. This includes conducting quality testing and ensuring that all loads meet safety criteria. You will maintain the cleanliness of the scale area and ramps, ensuring they are free of debris. Your role will also involve collecting samples and testing finished goods delivered by truck and/or rail, while maintaining QA/QC records and following established procedures.
You will operate mobile equipment to manage dust collection and keep the area orderly. Completing safety certifications as required for the position is essential, as is communicating operational information effectively. You will enter maintenance work requests as needed and serve as a backup resource for other duties as required.
