Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in Site Reliability Engineering, with hands-on experience in maintaining and supporting cloud-native systems. You enjoy solving complex problems and have a keen interest in automation and observability. Your ability to troubleshoot distributed applications and optimize performance makes you a valuable asset to any team.

You are familiar with monitoring tools such as New Relic, ELK Stack, and Zabbix, and you understand the importance of system health and reliability. Your experience with cloud environments, particularly Azure and AWS, allows you to effectively manage production and pre-production systems. You are comfortable writing and optimizing SQL queries to investigate application and database performance issues.

What you'll do

As a Site Reliability Engineer at ESO, you will support and maintain both production and non-production cloud environments, ensuring their reliability and performance. You will troubleshoot complex, distributed applications to identify root causes and implement durable fixes. Your role will involve monitoring system health and performance using observability tools, and you will participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.

You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enhancing automation and deployment processes. Your collaboration with engineering, infrastructure, and database teams will be crucial in optimizing system performance and improving resiliency. You will be expected to dig into application and database behavior, continuously seeking ways to improve how systems operate in a fast-paced environment.
