Job Description
Who you are
You have over 8 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role, bringing a deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, particularly ASC 606. Your expertise in GAAP ensures that you can navigate complex accounting standards with ease, and you are adept at managing the intricacies of revenue accounting. Your advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with XLOOKUPS, allow you to analyze data effectively and support financial reporting processes.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including legal, professional services, and order processing to ensure compliance with company policies. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy make you a reliable partner in contract reviews and revenue contract negotiations. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements, contributing to the efficiency of the Revenue Accounting team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will conduct monthly close functions, preparing and recording general ledger entries by compiling and analyzing assigned trial balance accounts. You will perform monthly reconciliations and support necessary management reporting analysis to ensure the integrity of financial information. Your responsibilities will also include conducting contract reviews and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company revenue policies.
You will support year-end close processes and assist with annual audit activities, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date. Additionally, you will identify and support continual process and procedure improvements within the Revenue Accounting team, contributing to a culture of excellence and efficiency. Your role will involve working onsite at Esri's campus in Redlands, CA, where you will be part of a busy and collaborative team dedicated to maintaining high standards in revenue accounting.
