You have 2+ years of experience in a sales role, ideally within SaaS or AI/tech products — you've successfully managed the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. Your strong communication skills allow you to tell compelling stories and sell a vision that resonates with customers. You take a consultative approach, helping customers see the business value of the solutions you offer rather than just the features. You thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment and possess a competitive edge that drives you to close deals.
What you'll do
As a Founding Account Executive at Exa, you will play a crucial role in building our NYC go-to-market office from the ground up. You'll cultivate the company culture, organize in-person events, and lead in-person sales efforts. You will take full ownership of the sales cycle, from the first touchpoint with potential customers to closing deals. Running product demos that leave customers impressed will be a key part of your role, as will developing and executing strategies to land high-value customers. You will work closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to maintain a strong and active sales pipeline, negotiate contracts, and drive revenue growth.
