Overview
Exa is seeking a Business Development professional to manage data partnerships and drive growth for their next-generation AI search engine. You'll work closely with founders and engineers to negotiate contracts and land high-value partners in San Francisco.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in contract negotiation, ideally with a background in privacy law — this knowledge will help you navigate the complexities of data partnerships effectively. You possess the ability to quickly grasp highly technical concepts and communicate them confidently to external stakeholders and potential partners. Your comfort in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment makes you an ideal fit for this role, as you thrive in dynamic settings where adaptability is key.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the data partnerships cycle from outbound outreach to negotiations and closing deals. You will make strategic data decisions that set Exa apart in the competitive landscape of AI search engines. Collaborating closely with the founders, engineers, and go-to-market teams, you will develop and execute strategies to land high-value partners that enhance Exa's data pipeline. Your responsibilities will also include negotiating contracts, hitting targets, and driving growth for the company. As the role evolves, you will have the opportunity to build out a team dedicated to Data Partnerships, further expanding Exa's capabilities in this area.
What we offer
At Exa, you will be part of a talented team of around 65 individuals from prestigious backgrounds, including Harvard, MIT, Apple, and Palantir. We are committed to building the most intelligent search engine in history and have recently secured an $85M Series B funding round from Benchmark. This is an in-person opportunity located in San Francisco, and we are open to sponsoring international candidates, including those on STEM OPT, OPT, H1B, O1, and E3 visas.
