What you'll do

Join Five9's engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of their cloud contact center solutions. You will design, develop, and maintain highly available microservices, focusing on API Gateway architecture and API Developer Portal enhancements. Your responsibilities will include implementing and managing API Gateway policies, authentication flows, and access controls to ensure secure service communication.

You will monitor API performance and analyze traffic patterns to identify bottlenecks, driving optimizations that enhance user experience. Collaborating closely with product managers and other engineers, you will contribute to the evolution of Five9’s modern SaaS platform, enabling enterprises to deliver exceptional customer service powered by AI.

Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge of best practices in API development and cloud-native architecture. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team, ensuring that the solutions you build are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
