Who you are
You have a strong background in sales, ideally with experience in business development and monetization strategies. You understand the value of brand authority and can effectively communicate this to potential partners. You are a 'closer' who thrives on identifying market opportunities and driving revenue. Your experience includes managing the end-to-end sales and contract lifecycle, ensuring a seamless process from initial contact to closing deals.
You are commercially minded and have a proven track record of generating revenue through innovative sales strategies. You are comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team, reporting directly to senior leadership. Your ability to build relationships with key stakeholders is essential, as you will be pitching brand partners who can benefit from Forbes' established accolades and content.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and drive a robust pipeline of licensing opportunities, proactively identifying and pitching potential brand partners. You will be responsible for managing the sales process from start to finish, ensuring that contracts are executed efficiently and effectively. You will collaborate closely with the VP of Sales & Operations to align your strategies with the overall goals of the Accolades team. Your focus will be on maximizing revenue through digital permissions and award logo programs, leveraging Forbes' brand authority to attract new business.
You will also analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth. Your insights will help shape the direction of the Accolades team and contribute to Forbes' overall success. You will be expected to report on your progress regularly, providing updates on pipeline status and revenue generation efforts.
