Who you are

You are a scientist or engineer with a strong background in polymer development and a passion for innovation in 3D printing. You have experience conducting research and developing materials that push the boundaries of what can be achieved in this rapidly evolving industry. Your hands-on approach and collaborative spirit enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware, and software engineers.

You possess a deep understanding of materials science and are excited about the potential of 3D printing to transform various industries, including engineering, consumer products, manufacturing, automotive, and healthcare. Your ability to design and perform experiments will be crucial in validating and commercializing new materials that meet the needs of our diverse clientele.

What you'll do

In this role, you will conduct research and develop world-class materials for 3D printing, starting from initial lab explorations to validation and commercialization. You will collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to ensure that new and existing materials print seamlessly and reliably on our hardware. Your responsibilities will include designing and performing experiments, analyzing results, and iterating on material formulations to achieve optimal performance.

You will also play a key role in identifying new applications for materials in various industries, working to unlock innovative solutions that enhance the capabilities of 3D printing technology. Your contributions will directly impact how our customers design, prototype, and manufacture their products, making a significant difference in their operations.

What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000—$135,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs. Your financial investment will grow with us in accordance with your impact.
