Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with experience in designing and prototyping hardware systems. You are passionate about pushing the capabilities of 3D printing and creating innovative solutions to challenging problems. As a technical leader, you enjoy guiding junior colleagues and collaborating with a team of engineers across various disciplines.

You have hands-on experience with prototyping new systems and mechanisms, and you are familiar with testing materials and researching 3D printing challenges. Your ability to architect subsystems of a 3D printer will be crucial in ensuring the performance and reliability of the products you help create.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of hardware systems for Formlabs' next-generation 3D printers. You will work closely with mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers to design, review, and guide the work of junior colleagues. Your expertise will help push the boundaries of what is possible in 3D printing technology.

You will prototype new systems and mechanisms, test materials, and tackle various challenges in the 3D printing space. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of the products, making a significant difference in how the world creates.

What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $112,000—$155,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
