Plenty is hiring a Contract Environmental Health and Safety Manager to develop and implement safety programs for their Farm Operations team. Who you are
You have a strong background in Environmental Health and Safety management, with experience in developing and implementing safety programs that promote a culture of safety within an organization. You understand the importance of compliance with health and safety regulations and have a proven track record of minimizing workplace accidents. Your ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels makes you a valuable resource for managers and supervisors. You are a team player who can collaborate with local management to ensure that safety programs are effectively administered at each site. You are detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills, allowing you to manage documentation and training requirements efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Plenty's safety programs to minimize the risk of work-related accidents. You will apply your knowledge of health and safety principles to review equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Monitoring employees, contractors, and third-party vendors for adherence to safety practices will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also support the structure and requirements for training, tracking, and documentation related to health and safety. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to foster a culture of safety and ensure that all employees are aware of and follow safe work practices. You will report directly to the SVP of Farm Operations and will be expected to travel occasionally, up to 10% of the time.
