Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent practical experience. With 4 years of experience in digital logic design principles and RTL design concepts, you are well-versed in languages such as Verilog and SystemVerilog. Your background includes experience with microprocessor architecture, and you are familiar with programming languages like C, C++, and Python. You have a solid understanding of general-purpose operating systems such as Linux or Android, which enhances your ability to contribute to hardware development.
Desirable
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, particularly with an emphasis on computer architecture, is preferred. Experience with modern processor microarchitecture and related technologies through academic projects or industry experience will set you apart. You are eager to learn and adapt to state-of-the-art techniques in processor design, which will help you excel in this role.

As a CPU RTL Engineer at Google, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, interpreting advanced techniques into design constructs and languages to guide performance modeling efforts. You will facilitate final decision-making processes and deliver designs that meet Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) goals with production quality. Your role will involve becoming familiar with state-of-the-art techniques for at least one processor functional block, ensuring that your designs are cutting-edge and effective.

Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $132,000 and $189,000.
