Google is hiring a Staff Silicon Digital Design Engineer to develop custom silicon solutions that power innovative products. You'll work with Verilog and System Verilog, focusing on design and verification processes. This position requires 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 10 years of experience in design and multi power domains, you are well-versed in clocking and have a strong foundation in Verilog or System Verilog language. Your expertise extends to STA closure, DV test-plan review, and coverage analysis at both the sub-system and chip level verification. You possess knowledge of process cores, interconnects, debug and trace, security, interrupts, clocks/reset, power/voltage domains, or pinmuxing.

You are passionate about pushing boundaries and developing custom silicon solutions that enhance the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your contributions will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to debug failures related to boards, software, manufacturing, design, and thermal issues.

What you'll do

As a Staff Silicon Digital Design Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining design blocks or components of hardware products. You will integrate these design blocks to create product subsystems that meet defined specifications. Your role will involve using simulation, emulation, and power analysis tools to ensure that power and performance align with project goals. You will collaborate with various teams to debug failures and contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide.

You will also engage in the design and verification processes, ensuring that all components meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of Google's hardware solutions, making a significant difference in the user experience of Google's products.
