Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. You have spent at least 3 years leading teams in a technical customer-facing role within professional services or sales engineering, demonstrating your ability to manage and mentor others effectively. Your experience includes engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders, tailoring and delivering compelling messages to drive business opportunities. You are comfortable with travel, as this role may require up to 25% travel.

You possess a strong understanding of software lifecycles and have experience building tools and architecting software for scalable, distributed systems. Your background includes working with data platforms, AI/ML, and infrastructure, which equips you to handle complex technical challenges. You have a proven track record of managing teams through sales processes, operations, and career development, including account mapping and performance management.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the Customer Engineering team for Google Cloud's Capital Markets sector, focusing on transforming and building solutions for clients in the Financial Services industry. You will work cross-functionally to resolve technical roadblocks, ensuring customer satisfaction while driving business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include leading workload and opportunity review meetings with sales and Customer Engineering teams, providing insights into achieving technical agreements and migration strategies. You will collaborate closely with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions that leverage Google Cloud's capabilities.

You will also be responsible for mentoring your team, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring they are equipped to engage effectively with clients. Your role will involve presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders, asking strategic questions, and leading conversations that drive business opportunities. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of Google Cloud's offerings in the Capital Markets space, ensuring that our technology meets the evolving needs of our clients.
