Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7 years of experience in a data-intensive role such as threat intelligence, data science, trust and safety, or fraud analysis. You possess 2 years of experience in people management, mentoring, and technical development of analysts or engineers. Your experience includes working with SQL or Python, and you are comfortable navigating ambiguity while leading towards data-driven decisions. You have excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail in a fluid environment. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to explain complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders at different levels and influence decision-making across roles.

Desirable

A Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering is preferred. Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, threat intelligence, or threat detection is highly valued. You have expertise in growing others and advancing capabilities in data analysis, threat intelligence, or incident response.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the new Trust and Safety Account Threats team in Seattle, collaborating with existing teams in Zurich and Bangalore. You will focus on rapid incident response to protect billions of users from account compromise, scaled account abuse, and other emerging threats. Your team will be on the front lines, conducting in-depth analyses of active security incidents, understanding threats through data analysis, and taking action to keep users safe. You will orchestrate cross-functional alignment and provide operational leadership for high-stakes security incidents affecting many or high-risk users. Additionally, you will perform on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis, including weekend coverage and holidays.
