Overview

Google is hiring a Customer Engineer for their Gemini Workspace team to serve as a primary technical partner for clients. You'll engage in technical conversations, troubleshoot issues, and support the delivery of cloud solutions. This role requires 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture and fluency in English and Spanish.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture, ideally in a customer-facing or support role. Your expertise includes 3 years of experience with Generative AI, Generative AI Agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), or specialization in another machine learning field. You are familiar with Agentic Frameworks such as LangChain and AutoGen, and have a solid understanding of Back-end System Design. Your experience also includes selling collaboration software, specifically Google Workspace or similar products, and you can communicate fluently in both English and Spanish to effectively manage client relationships in the region.

You have a proven track record in selling technical solutions across various domains, including Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, and Security. You are adept at driving the entire business cycle, from defining delivery and consumption plans to transitioning them for execution. Your ability to build long-term technical strategies helps uncover new workloads with customers, and you have experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms. You are knowledgeable about security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.

What you'll do

As a Customer Engineer for Gemini, you will partner with technical sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud offerings to customers. You will serve as the primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical-led conversations to understand business challenges and troubleshoot technical questions. Your role will involve creating delivery plans for customers and leading the technical engagement during the solution phase. You will facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and ensuring the final delivery plan is transitioned to implementation teams. Throughout the process, you will maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan and provide support to cross-functional teams during ramp-up, delivery, migration, or implementation phases.
