Operations Manager • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in a customer or client-facing operations management role supporting data center logistics. Your background includes 5 years of experience managing operations across multiple locations, demonstrating your ability to handle complex logistics challenges effectively.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and have experience with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) vendor relationships, budget creation, and cost management. Your analytical skills allow you to analyze data and generate business insights that guide critical business decisions. You are comfortable working with systems tools such as SAP and homegrown systems, which are essential for optimizing logistics processes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the optimization of daily logistics processes at Google, ensuring that operations align with current industry standards and best practices. You will manage continuous process improvement recommendations and oversee the implementation of changes within operations. Your responsibilities will include standardizing user documentation and creating processes that motivate action across teams.

You will initiate and oversee operational improvement efforts for Google Cloud Logistics, analyzing operational impacts to inform improvements. Collaborating with key stakeholders will be crucial as you motivate innovation within operational teams. You will also create presentations and documents for the leadership team, highlighting operational performance and improvements.

Your role will require you to manage relationships with multiple internal customers at data centers, recognizing improvement opportunities to enhance the cost or quality of services provided. You will be proactive in turning these thoughts into documented business cases, presenting them to peers and management for approval, and providing ongoing project management to ensure successful implementation.
