Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting. Your background includes working with C-level executives and navigating complex organizational structures, allowing you to build strong relationships across all levels of management.
Your experience in the media and news industry is a significant asset, as is your ability to manage stakeholders effectively. You excel at negotiating commercial agreements and have a knack for solving complex problems while scaling initiatives across a distributed organization. Your communication and presentation skills are top-notch, enabling you to clarify and convey complex issues to executive-level audiences.
What you'll do
As a News Partner Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with news organizations across Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Your role will involve finding innovative ways for these organizations to reach new audiences and develop new business streams through Google’s products. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both national organizations and independent publishers, educating them about Google’s offerings and resources.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various internal teams at Google, including YouTube, Play, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing, and Product. You will gather market insights and build product expertise to inform team strategy, ensuring that you effectively roll out specific projects and initiatives. Additionally, you will manage all aspects of commercial contracting, from identifying opportunities within your partnership portfolio to initial negotiations and ongoing operational support.
