Google is hiring a Product Engineering Lead for Product Operations to evaluate product designs and create processes for manufacturing. You'll work with SQL and Python to ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in developing supply chains in manufacturing and testing. Your background includes experience in system architecture and functional or board level testing for compute, storage, or related products. You possess a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field, which enhances your technical expertise. You have developed strong technical relationships with contract manufacturers and are familiar with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) tests, Design for X (DFX), quality, and reliability. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities, enabling you to produce timely and accurate work products.
What you'll do
As a Product Engineering Lead, you will evaluate product designs and create the processes, tools, and procedures behind Googleβs powerful search technology. You will collaborate with commodity managers and design engineers to determine Googleβs infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your role will involve coordinating the release of New Product Introduction (NPI) bill of materials into Product Data Management (PDM) systems. You will perform technical reviews of product changes and assess their impact on the supply chain. Additionally, you will support supply chain continuity planning, including second source part qualification and assembly qualification, while ensuring that manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled.
