You'll manage project schedules, identify risks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams. This position requires 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 5 years of experience in program or project management. Your background includes 5 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a New Product Introduction (NPI) role. You have experience across all phases of product development from prototype to mass production, and you possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You are adept at foreseeing risks and managing them with evaluations and mitigation strategies aligned with your team. Your ability to drive solutions across multiple cross-functional teams and the supply chain is a key strength. You are willing to travel to contract manufacturer locations as needed.
Desirable
An MBA or Master's degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred, along with 8 years of experience in new product introduction, supply chain management, operations, or operations engineering. You thrive in environments where you can coordinate complex projects and keep stakeholders informed of progress and deadlines. You understand that a problem isnβt truly solved until itβs resolved for all, which aligns with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone.
What you'll do
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring you to coordinate the players and keep them updated on progress and deadlines. You will manage all operations-related communications, both upward and downward, throughout the organization. Key issues will be escalated to cross-functional executive teams, where you will present options for resolution. You will oversee and prioritize risk mitigation strategies, including multi-source tech assessments, new tech applications, cost variance reviews, and supply chain evaluations.
