Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience working on critical infrastructure projects related to process improvements. Your background includes working with mission-critical systems and operations, such as power generation and data centers, and you have hands-on experience with industrial controls in critical environments like pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

You possess a Master's degree in Engineering and have experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, and troubleshooting BMS and Electrical Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. You are familiar with application-specific controllers and software such as Ignition and Factory Talk, and you have a solid understanding of communication protocols including TCP/IP, EtherNet IP, BacNet, MODBUS, and IEC 61850.

Your excellent communication, teamwork, organizational, and problem-solving skills make you a valuable asset to any team. You thrive in environments where you can optimize efficiencies and continuously seek improvements, even in small changes that can make a significant impact.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Center Engineer at Google, you will take on complex topics related to the physical design of data centers, working closely with a team of experts to implement cutting-edge strategies. You will supervise vendor compliance with design standards and local codes during site visits while training internal stakeholders on system operations and maintenance. Your role will involve analyzing quarterly maintenance results to resolve action items and manage service agreements to improve system performance throughout the facility's life cycle.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the data center operations. Your expertise will guide the team in making informed decisions regarding system improvements and upgrades, ensuring that the facilities remain at the forefront of technology and efficiency.
