Who you are

You have 6+ years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design — you've developed a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Your educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and you may also hold a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.

You are proficient with various prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Axure — your expertise allows you to develop high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts. You have experience designing technical and powerful enterprise-class applications, and you thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with other designers, product managers, and engineers.

Your approach to design is user-focused, and you understand the importance of refining designs based on user feedback, technical constraints, and market dynamics — you consistently challenge sub-optimal approaches with innovative alternatives. You are passionate about creating exceptional user experiences that meet diverse enterprise and customer needs.

Desirable

Experience with visual design in product or UX design environments is a plus, as is a strong understanding of cloud technologies and performance landscapes. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality design solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will envision how users will experience Google's products and bring that vision to life through user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers to gather insights and refine designs based on user feedback.

You will play a key role in the design process, from creating initial concepts to developing high-fidelity mockups that guide the development of user interfaces. Your work will directly impact the usability and accessibility of Google's AI and computing infrastructure products, ensuring they are intuitive and easy to use for billions of users worldwide.

You will also contribute to the evolution of Google's design system, identifying high-value growth opportunities and refining designs to meet user needs. Your ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential in driving design excellence and fostering a user-centered culture within the organization.
