Overview

Google is hiring a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to develop custom silicon solutions for their Pixel products. You'll work with signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic interference tools. This position requires 4+ years of experience in electrical systems development.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and you have at least 4 years of experience in Consumer Electronics or embedded system design. Your expertise includes signal and power integrity simulation of system boards, including SoC/chipset and memory technology. You are familiar with managing SIPI trade-off decisions with cross-functional teams to define optimized solutions that meet product design requirements.

You have a strong background in implementing product development processes for mass volume production design, focusing on signal integrity, power integrity, and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Your experience with industry SIPI simulation and lab tools such as Ansys HFSS, SIwave, and Cadence Sigrity tools sets you apart. You understand hardware system architecture, spanning SOC, PMIC, audio, sensors, display, touch, camera, or RF subsystems.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred. You have 8 years of experience in the field, which has equipped you with the skills to debug issues, find solutions, and optimize designs effectively.

What you'll do

As a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer at Google, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions for Pixel products. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences. Your role will involve defining engineering requirements specifications (ERS) and analyzing test data to assist in software bring-up. You will also travel on-site to manufacturers to ensure designs are built and tested successfully.

You will work closely with Engineering and Qualification teams on system bring-up and design validation, ensuring that the designs meet the required specifications. Your responsibilities will include issue debugging, root cause analysis, and solution optimization, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
