Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes expertise in hardware product quality, machine learning, and data center operations — you understand the intricacies of networking and structured cabling. You are adept at managing cross-functional projects and have a Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering, which further enhances your qualifications.

Your experience working with Fiber and Copper, as well as your familiarity with data center operations, positions you as a strong candidate for this role. You have a proven track record of leading teams and driving quality improvements in hardware deployments. Your analytical skills allow you to track trends and identify quality escapes effectively, setting quality goals that align with organizational objectives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive Google Data Center machine and rack infrastructure quality by managing New Product Introduction Deployments, Builds, and Quality. You will lead data analysis efforts to track trends and identify quality/reliability escapes, ensuring continuous improvements from development through full production entry. You will program manage data center technicians, engineering, and manufacturing quality engineers, collaborating closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Product and Supplier Quality teams.

Your responsibilities will include partnering with various teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the product lifecycle. You will also be responsible for mentoring team members and fostering a culture of quality and reliability within the organization. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of Google's data center hardware deployments, making a significant impact on the overall quality and reliability of the infrastructure.

What we offer

Google offers a competitive salary range for this full-time position, with a base salary between $156,000 and $229,000, plus bonuses, equity, and benefits. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
