Gopuff is hiring an Operations Associate to join their operations team in Norfolk, VA. You'll be responsible for picking, packing, and managing inventory while ensuring a smooth operation. This role requires a positive attitude and the ability to work flexible hours.

Who you are
You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys hands-on work. You have a positive attitude and are ready to take on the challenges that come with being an Operations Associate. Your drive and perseverance will help you succeed in this role, as you will be directly reporting to a Site Leader and playing an essential role in the operations team.
You are capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and can stand and walk for the duration of your assigned shift. You are comfortable working in various conditions, including freezer locations, and can manage a fluid schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays. Your enthusiasm for the challenge will be key as you work with a team of thinkers and dreamers.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate at Gopuff, you will be responsible for a variety of operations tasks. You will pick and pack items for dispatch to customers, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. You will also receive and unpack pallets of product from vendors, verifying that the physical inventory count matches the purchase order or invoice and resolving any discrepancies that arise.
Managing inventory is a crucial part of your role, as you will need to re-shelve canceled orders and maintain a clean and organized sales floor and overall facility. You will handle, scan, and move products in a safe and well-organized manner, adhering to strict compliance with FIFO practices to manage waste and spoilage effectively.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will contact customers regarding substituted or out-of-stock items, ensuring that communication is clear and effective. You will utilize equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move products efficiently throughout the facility. Your ability to work collaboratively with partner drivers will also be essential in ensuring that customers receive their everyday essentials.
