Gopuff is hiring an Operations Associate to join their Distribution Center team in Richmond, CA. You'll be responsible for various warehouse tasks including loading and unloading freight, operating equipment, and ensuring safety procedures are followed.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in warehouse, logistics, or a related field. You are physically capable of lifting up to 49 lbs and are comfortable using manual and electric material handling equipment. You possess a general working knowledge of basic web-based software applications, such as Google G-Suite, which will aid you in recording and processing information efficiently.
You bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm to your work, understanding the importance of teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You are committed to following safety procedures and promoting a culture of safety within the warehouse. Your ability to adapt to various tasks and responsibilities makes you a valuable asset to the Distribution Center team.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in the Distribution Center by loading and unloading freight, operating equipment like hand jacks, and moving products to storage areas. You will be responsible for processing orders, which includes picking, checking, sorting, and consolidating freight, as well as wrapping pallets and confirming shipments. You will also check and verify freight for accuracy and damage, ensuring that all products are handled safely and efficiently.
In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will assist the Area Manager and Leads with various warehouse tasks as needed. Your role will require you to observe all safety procedures and contribute to a safe and inclusive work environment. You will be expected to handle, scan, and move products in an organized manner, while also maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse. Your ability to work in freezer locations periodically will be essential, as you will be handling products that may contain tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol.
