You are currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program, whether at the Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD level. Your academic background has equipped you with a solid foundation in mechanical design principles, and you are eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting. You possess good interpersonal skills and an analytical approach to problem-solving, which will help you thrive in a collaborative environment.
Your curiosity about technology extends beyond the classroom, as you engage in personal projects related to mechanical design. This passion for technology drives you to explore innovative solutions and contribute effectively to team efforts. While experience with 3D CAD software, particularly Creo, is preferred, you are open to learning and adapting to new tools as needed.
What you'll do
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Graphcore, you will participate in various aspects of mechanical design, utilizing Creo 3D CAD software to create and refine designs. You will work closely with the thermal team to develop test procedures and assist in setting up a new thermal lab dedicated to testing AI hardware. Your role will involve supporting thermal testing of new hardware using various lab equipment, ensuring that prototypes meet performance standards.
You will also collaborate with the mechanical and thermal design teams to evaluate, test, and troubleshoot prototypes, contributing to the overall success of the projects. This internship offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a cutting-edge field, working alongside experts in AI computing systems.
