Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in managing teams and building complex, distributed systems. You understand the nuances of B2B integrations and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Your technical expertise allows you to stay deeply engaged with the code while also mentoring and coaching your team to foster a culture of ownership and accountability.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to partner effectively with product teams and translate high-level partner needs into actionable technical roadmaps. You thrive in environments where you can lead architectural reviews and help your team navigate complex debugging sessions, ensuring that the systems you oversee are scalable and resilient.

You are a people multiplier, dedicated to building a high-trust culture within your team. You understand the importance of hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers, and you take pride in creating an environment where your team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work. You are strategic in managing technical debt and ensuring that your team meets the strict SLAs required by enterprise partners.

Desirable

Experience with travel technology or e-commerce platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud services and modern development practices. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to the growth of a leading travel e-commerce provider.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a high-performing engineering team dedicated to building and maintaining complex systems that handle millions of transactions. You will be responsible for hiring and developing talent, ensuring that your team has the skills and resources needed to succeed. You will partner closely with product teams to define and execute on technical roadmaps that align with business objectives.

You will oversee the architectural design of systems and ensure that they are built to scale. Your responsibilities will include establishing on-call rotations, managing service reliability, and driving down technical debt strategically. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for external partners, ensuring that their needs are met while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

You will also play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment where engineers feel supported and challenged. You will lead regular architectural reviews and help unblock complex issues, ensuring that your team can deliver high-quality features on time. Your leadership will be crucial in navigating the intersection of technical excellence and enterprise-grade reliability.
