Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in managing teams and building complex, distributed systems. You are a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring and coaching engineers, fostering a high-trust culture where team members feel empowered to take ownership of their work. Your technical expertise allows you to navigate architectural reviews and assist in debugging complex issues, ensuring that your team's services are reliable and scalable.

You possess a deep understanding of B2B integrations and public-facing APIs, which enables you to partner effectively with product teams to translate high-level partner needs into actionable technical roadmaps. Your experience in managing technical debt and establishing on-call rotations demonstrates your commitment to maintaining enterprise-grade reliability in the systems your team develops.

What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager at Hopper, you will lead a multidisciplinary squad dedicated to our high-stakes Enterprise and Corporate B2B partners. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include hiring, mentoring, and coaching engineers, while also ensuring that your team ships high-quality features on time. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for external partners, driving collaboration and communication to meet their needs.

You will oversee the architectural reviews and help unblock complex debugging sessions, ensuring that your team's stack remains scalable and resilient. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the unique complexities of B2B integrations, ensuring that your team's services meet the strict SLAs required by our enterprise corporate partners.
