Overview
Innophos is seeking a Senior Director of Environmental, Health & Safety to lead the company's EHS strategy. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. This role requires extensive experience in EHS leadership.

Who you are
You have a strong background in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) leadership, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS strategies across multiple sites. Your experience includes validating compliance with regulations and standards, ensuring that safety and environmental stewardship are prioritized within the organization. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various departments such as Manufacturing, Regulatory, Legal, HR, and R&D. You are adept at navigating complex challenges and driving initiatives that create value for both the company and its stakeholders.
You have a deep understanding of workplace safety protocols and environmental regulations, and you are committed to fostering a culture of safety and compliance within the organization. Your leadership style is inclusive and empowering, allowing you to guide site EHS managers and teams effectively. You are results-oriented and continuously seek opportunities for improvement, ensuring that the EHS program evolves to meet the changing needs of the business.
Desirable
Experience in a matrixed environment is a plus, as is familiarity with corporate governance and risk management practices. You may also have certifications in EHS management or related fields, which further demonstrate your commitment to excellence in this area.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of the company-wide EHS strategy, ensuring that it aligns with the overall business objectives. You will validate compliance across all sites, champion key initiatives, and chair the Corporate Health & Safety Steering Team. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensuring that all sites adhere to established EHS standards.
You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to tackle complex challenges and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This may involve developing training programs, conducting safety drills, and implementing new technologies or processes that enhance workplace safety and environmental performance. You will also be responsible for reporting on EHS performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability in all EHS-related activities.
Your role will require you to stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting the EHS strategy as necessary to maintain compliance and best practices. You will lead by example, fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
