You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to provide training and guidance to your team effectively. You are detail-oriented and have a keen eye for identifying potential hazards in processes, facilities, and safety equipment. Your experience includes reviewing and approving purchase orders and managing operational budgets, demonstrating your capability in administrative tasks.

What you'll do

As the Lead Environmental Health & Safety Engineer at SpaceX, you will manage the EHS team, overseeing their daily activities and priorities. You will be responsible for hiring, performance evaluations, and making decisions regarding promotions and rewards for your team members. Your role will involve implementing and maintaining regulatory and site-specific occupational safety and environmental policies, ensuring compliance through regular inspections and evaluations.

You will collaborate with department leadership to develop solutions that improve workplace safety and advance the EHS program. This includes identifying and correcting potential hazards and developing recommendations for remedial actions when safety policies are not met. You will also provide training and guidance to your team, ensuring they have the necessary technical and administrative knowledge to implement effective occupational health and safety measures.
