Overview

InterSystems is hiring a Sales Engineer to engage with clients and ensure successful implementations of their database and integration technologies. You'll utilize application development skills and problem-solving abilities while working closely with account representatives and project managers in Boston.

Who you are

You have a strong background in application development and deployment, with hands-on coding experience that allows you to tackle technical challenges effectively. Your problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complex client requirements and deliver tailored solutions that meet their needs. You possess excellent presentation skills, allowing you to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your sales awareness and business acumen help you understand client needs and foster long-term relationships. You are comfortable with regional travel, as this role requires extensive interaction with clients across North America.

Desirable

Experience working with system integrators and project managers is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to collaborate effectively during the early stages of project adoption. Familiarity with designing and building Proofs of Concept (PoCs) will also be beneficial in demonstrating the value of InterSystems' offerings to prospects and partners.

What you'll do

In this role, you will coordinate with InterSystems' Account Representatives and various departments to ensure a close, long-term relationship with clients. You will work closely with system integrators and project managers, especially during the early stages of adoption and technically challenging projects, to ensure successful implementations. Your responsibilities will include recommending technical architectures, model designs, development patterns, migration strategies, and operational best practices. You will design, build, and present Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to prospects and partners, showcasing the capabilities of InterSystems' technologies. Additionally, you will deliver standard and customized on-site training in a classroom environment, supporting clients during beta test programs or pre-launch activities. You will also engage in marketing activities at trade shows, conferences, and seminars to promote InterSystems' products and services. Keeping up-to-date with InterSystems products and contemporary IT industry developments will be essential for your success in this role.
