Data Platform Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in building and maintaining data platforms that support analytics and machine learning. You understand the importance of data governance, quality, and security, and have a proven track record of ensuring data reliability and performance. You are comfortable working with various data tools and technologies, including Snowflake and Airflow, and have experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.

You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with analysts, data scientists, and product owners to ensure that data assets meet the needs of the organization. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and improvement, always looking for ways to enhance data processes and infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the data platform infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable and efficient. You will be responsible for data ingestion, storage, and transformation, utilizing tools like Snowflake and dbt to manage data workflows. You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate data transformations and ensure smooth deployment processes.

You will collaborate closely with data analysts and data scientists to understand their requirements and provide the necessary data infrastructure to support their work. This includes ensuring data quality and governance practices are in place, as well as optimizing data storage and retrieval processes for performance.

You will also be involved in provisioning data infrastructure using Terraform or equivalent infrastructure as code tools, allowing for efficient management of cloud resources. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of Jamf's data capabilities.
