What you'll do

As the Director of Safety & Mission Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in the transition from research and development to production at Kepler Communications. You will work closely with engineering and operations leaders to develop and implement safety protocols that ensure the reliability of our satellite systems. Your responsibilities will include overseeing safety assessments, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will lead a team of safety professionals, providing mentorship and guidance to help them grow in their roles. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential safety issues early in the product development process, ensuring that solutions are integrated seamlessly into our workflows.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be an advocate for a culture of safety within the organization. You will lead training sessions and workshops to educate team members on best practices in safety and mission assurance. Your role will also involve communicating safety metrics and performance to senior leadership, ensuring that safety remains a top priority as we scale our operations.
