Who you are
You are an experienced sales professional with a proven track record in selling enterprise software. You have a strong understanding of open source technologies and APIs, which allows you to effectively communicate the value of Kong's solutions to potential clients. Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to excel in early-stage enterprise environments, and you thrive on building relationships with global enterprise accounts.
You possess excellent communication skills and a true desire to see customers benefit from their investment in Kong. You are adept at understanding customer needs and can navigate complex sales processes with ease. Your ability to leverage established relationships will be key in driving sales and achieving your quotas.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for selling the Kong Enterprise Platform to enterprise customers, meeting individual quotas and objectives. You will take ownership of your book of business, ensuring pipeline accuracy and working leads to closure. Your responsibilities will include providing account leadership and direction throughout the pre- and post-sales process, contributing to analysis on wins and losses to refine sales strategies.
You will also be expected to travel to customer sites as required, which may involve 30% to 50% travel. Your role will be integral to Kong's growth plan, as you will be the primary point of contact for prospects, representing the company and its offerings effectively.
