Overview
Kong is seeking an Enterprise Territory Account Executive to drive sales and account management in Canada. You'll focus on developing sales strategies and building relationships with mid-market and enterprise customers. This role requires a strong background in sales within enterprise software environments.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a successful background in sales and account management, ideally within open source or similar enterprise software environments. You are a committed sales professional who has experience in landing new clients, retaining existing customers, and driving account expansion for early-stage enterprise products. You understand the importance of building and maintaining a robust pipeline that drives long-term growth.
You are skilled in developing and executing sales strategies to target mid-market and enterprise customers. You own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to contract negotiations and closing deals, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets. You collaborate effectively with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to ensure a seamless sales experience and alignment on customer needs.
You excel at identifying customer pain points and aligning solutions to address these, delivering customized product demos and presentations tailored to their specific business needs. You are passionate about driving growth and have a strong understanding of the sales process in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
Desirable
Experience in the API technology space or familiarity with cloud-based solutions would be a plus. You are adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your sales approach.
What you'll do
