You have over 10 years of experience in technical accounting, demonstrating a strong understanding of US GAAP and the complexities involved in financial reporting for public companies. Your background includes significant responsibility in managing accounting issues such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and business combinations. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with legal, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial statements. You are comfortable drafting comprehensive technical accounting memos and providing guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and compliance within your team.

What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as a key technical accounting expert, supporting the Director of Technical Accounting. Your primary responsibilities will include researching and analyzing complex accounting issues to provide guidance on proper accounting treatment under US GAAP. You will partner with cross-functional teams to assess the accounting impact of new business initiatives and transactions, ensuring that all financial reporting is compliant with internal policies and regulations. You will also draft technical accounting memos that support your conclusions and provide training to junior team members, enhancing their understanding of technical accounting principles.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of Lyft's financial statements, working diligently to ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards. Your ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly and effectively will be essential as you collaborate with various departments across the organization. You will be expected to stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring that Lyft remains at the forefront of compliance in the industry.
What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range of $156,000 to $195,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
